Xiaomi shares climbed 2.61% on the Hong Kong exchange following a significant announcement in Munich. The technology giant revealed plans for a global rollout of its Mijia line of premium home appliances, marking a pivotal advancement in its “Human × Car × Home” strategic vision. This move into international markets for its large household products represents a new phase in the company’s ecosystem development.

Record Forecasts and Product Ecosystem Drive Momentum

Adding to the positive sentiment, analysts at Deutsche Bank issued a bullish delivery forecast for Xiaomi’s electric vehicle division. Their projections estimate September deliveries will reach 42,000 units. This figure represents a substantial 15% month-over-month increase and a dramatic 210% surge compared to the same period last year.

The Munich event served as the international debut for Xiaomi’s premium appliance series. The initial product lineup includes the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco Series, the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9kg, and the Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door 502L. Angus Ng, Director of International Communications at Xiaomi, emphasized the strategic importance of this global launch for the internationalization of the company’s connected ecosystem.

Broader Portfolio Strengthening with HyperOS 3 and Smartphones

Beyond the appliance sector, Xiaomi is executing a multi-pronged offensive. The company also introduced its new flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 15T, and announced a global release schedule for its HyperOS 3 operating system, slated for October 2025. The updated OS promises a redesigned user interface, enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities, and more seamless integration across devices within the Xiaomi ecosystem.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Xiaomi?

The potential for this integrated approach appears strong, judging by domestic performance. In the first quarter of 2025, the company reported impressive growth exceeding 65% for its air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines within the Chinese market.

Navigating Challenges in a Competitive Landscape

The aggressive expansion is not without its hurdles. Chinese regulators recently mandated a recall of approximately 117,000 Xiaomi SU7 vehicles to address a software issue related to driver assistance systems. Although the fix will be deployed via an over-the-air update, the incident highlights the operational challenges inherent in the highly competitive electric vehicle market.

The coming weeks are critical for Xiaomi. Market reception in Europe for its new smart-home products and the successful deployment of HyperOS 3 will be key indicators of success. Investors will be looking to the next financial report in November for concrete data to assess whether this comprehensive strategic push is yielding the intended results.
