Vikram Malhotra, an analyst at Mizuho, has decided to keep a Neutral rating on AvalonBay Communities (NYSE: AVB) and has slightly decreased the price target to $185 from $188. According to data from CNN Money, AVB’s total revenue for the year stood at $2.82 billion, representing a 7.04% increase from the previous year. However, total revenue for the fourth quarter was reported at $718.65 million, remaining flat compared to the previous quarter. AVB’s net income for the year was $927.16 million, marking an 18.29% decrease from the previous year. However, net income for the fourth quarter was $241.53 million, showing a significant increase of 40.65% from the previous quarter. Earnings per share (EPS) for the year were reported at $6.55, reflecting a 19.25% decrease from the previous year. EPS for the fourth quarter remained flat at $1.70. Investors and analysts will likely be closely monitoring AVB’s performance in the coming quarters to see if the company can sustain its revenue growth and improve its profitability.
