Exploration company Firefox Gold has announced a major high-grade gold discovery at its Mustajärvi project in Finland. The latest drilling results, obtained from a previously untested gap between known mineralized zones, have revealed exceptionally rich gold content, with one assay returning over 188 grams per tonne (g/t).

The recent drilling campaign intersected a 7.6-meter section averaging 32.25 g/t gold. Within this broader intercept, a high-grade core of 0.8 meters assayed at a remarkable 188.5 g/t. The strategic importance of this find lies in its location; it was drilled in an area historically considered a gap separating established zones of mineralization. This success strengthens the company’s geological thesis that the gold system at Mustajärvi may be more continuous than earlier models suggested, potentially linking separate discoveries into a larger, cohesive resource.

Ongoing Program and Pending Assays
Firefox Gold is currently executing an extensive drilling program totaling more than 10,000 meters, of which approximately 60% has been completed to date. The program, which is scheduled to continue through the spring of 2026, has previously yielded strong results, including intervals of 9.35 g/t over 9.55 meters and 13.75 g/t over 12.4 meters. Laboratory analyses for roughly half of the holes drilled so far are still pending. These forthcoming results are anticipated in the coming months and are expected to provide further clarity on the full scale and continuity of the gold-bearing structures.
