The resource company High Tech Metals is accelerating the advancement of its mineral projects located in Western Australia and Canada. With new drilling campaigns for gold deposits imminent, the strategic value of its cobalt asset for the battery supply chain is also gaining prominence. The firm’s current operational focus is on efficiently steering its existing resources toward potential future production.

Cobalt Portfolio Adds Strategic Diversification

Beyond its primary gold endeavors, High Tech Metals maintains its strategic interest in the Werner Lake Cobalt project in Ontario, Canada. This asset represents a significant diversification play in a market increasingly driven by demand for critical minerals essential for electric vehicles. The project’s history of past production within the Kenora Mining District provides a substantial geological foundation for the company’s ongoing exploration planning.

Upcoming Catalysts and Reporting

A key date for investors is already scheduled: High Tech Metals will release its next annual report on September 29, 2026. In the interim, market observers are expected to closely monitor the outcomes from the forthcoming drilling programs and the progress of economic assessments in Western Australia. These results will be crucial for a fresh evaluation of the explorer’s operational momentum and project viability.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying High Tech Metals?

Western Australian Gold Assets in Focus

Significant management attention is currently directed at the Mt Fisher and Mt Eureka projects. At the Wagtail deposit, preparations are already underway for a scoping study. This study is slated to commence immediately following the completion of an infill drilling program, with the objective of more precisely determining the economic feasibility of the resource and defining the subsequent phases of development.

Concurrently, drilling operations at the Damsel deposit are on the company’s agenda, where the goal is to attain a Mining Lease status. Further potential is offered by the Bullock prospect. Initial rock samples from previously untested quartz vein systems have returned promising gold grades, indicating clear potential for an expansion of the known resource base.
