RBB Bancorp concluded its 2025 fiscal year with a notably stronger balance sheet, driven by a substantial reduction in troubled loans. The bank’s fourth-quarter earnings per share met consensus estimates, but the standout achievement was a dramatic cleanup of its credit portfolio.

  • Q4 2025 Earnings Per Share: $0.59
  • Q4 2025 Net Interest Income: $29.5 million
  • Non-Performing Loan Reduction (2025): 45%
  • Tangible Book Value Per Share: $26.42

Credit Portfolio Strength and Operational Performance

A primary achievement for the year was the significant enhancement of RBB’s asset quality. The institution reduced its non-performing loans by 45% year-over-year, while total non-performing assets fell by 34%. Importantly, this risk minimization did not come at the expense of growth; the bank achieved annual loan growth of 8.6%. New loan originations in the fourth quarter alone reached $145 million.

This operational progress has directly bolstered the company’s underlying value. RBB Bancorp’s tangible book value per share increased by 7.8% during 2025 to $26.42. For the full fiscal year, the company reported net income of $31.9 million.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying RBB?

Shareholder Returns and Capital Strategy

Management maintained a clear emphasis on shareholder returns throughout the past year, distributing over $25 million to investors via dividends and share repurchases. A pending capital structure decision may soon provide additional capacity for such buybacks.

This centers on $120 million in subordinated debt scheduled for repayment on April 1, 2026. RBB’s leadership is currently evaluating options for either refinancing or redeeming these obligations. According to the company, a successful optimization of this debt could free up capital for further repurchases of its stock.

Looking ahead, RBB anticipates loan growth in the high single-digit percentage range for the 2026 fiscal year. The bank also expects a gradual easing of deposit costs in the current first quarter. Results for Q1 2026 are scheduled for release on Monday, April 27, 2026.
