The company’s recent strategic shift has jolted its investor base, moving from an aggressive accumulation stance to a focus on cash reserves and significantly lowered forecasts. A Drastic Forecast Revision
The most jarring news for shareholders is management’s admission of a miscalculation. The company’s previous profit forecast for fiscal year 2025 was predicated on Bitcoin reaching $150,000 by year-end. That optimistic scenario has now been officially abandoned as unrealistic.
In its place, Strategy Inc has introduced a new projected range of $85,000 to $110,000. In a notable departure from its established identity, Strategy Inc has executed a strategic pivot aimed at calming nerves and securing financial obligations. The firm is now building a cash reserve of $1.44 billion.

Founder Michael Saylor has framed the step as an “evolution” and a “complement to the Bitcoin reserve.” Market observers, however, are likely to interpret it as a necessary safety net during volatile market conditions.
Shares Under Pressure
The combined impact of the lowered forecast and falling Bitcoin prices has placed immense pressure on the stock. Recent performance highlights the severity: the share price has plummeted nearly 37% over the last 30 trading days alone, now trading directly at its 52-week low.
CEO Phong Le has attempted to provide reassurance, noting that the new cash reserve is sufficient to cover dividend obligations for close to two years. Nevertheless, a central question persists: can Strategy Inc restore investor confidence while Bitcoin’s performance remains uncertain, or will debt obligations force the company into a permanently defensive posture?
