Vail Resorts faced setbacks in its Q2 financial results, reporting a decrease in total net revenue of $23.8 million, or 2.2%, for the three months ended January 31, 2024. Challenging weather conditions, including lower snowfall at North American resorts, were to blame for the decline. As a result, the company adjusted its fiscal year 2024 guidance, now anticipating net income between $270 million and $325 million and EBITDA ranging from $849 million to $885 million.

Despite the disappointing performance in skier visits, Vail Resorts remains confident in the strength of its business model and loyal customer base. Following the announcement of these financial results, the stock price of Vail Resorts (MTN) took a hit, with shares trading lower than before.
